How Can You Get Chic Home Dcor for a Fraction of the Price?

I’m a big advocate of spray paint, or really just paint in general, when it comes to home décor. Whether you have something in your house already and you’re sick of the color, or you find something for really cheap but aren’t thrilled with the color, a nice coat of paint will completely change the look of any piece! It’s amazing how much money you can save with just a coat of paint!

I’m always amazed with the great finds you can come across at stores you would never expect. You can actually find some great deals at something as simple as the dollar store! I know, it seems crazy, but you’ll save hundreds of dollars just by shopping stores you would never think of!

They just made furniture differently back in the day. It was such better quality than it is today. It really held up! If you want a good, solid piece of furniture, ask your family! They may have gorgeous pieces of furniture sitting around in their basements that you never even knew existed!

If you have some Ikea furniture around your house that you’re sick of, don’t throw it out, no matter how tempting it is. Instead, Google the name of the piece and the word “hack.” You’ll find so many hacks that will completely transform the piece to turn into something absolutely stunning that you love!

Shop the sales, ladies! For real, you will find so many amazing sales that you wouldn’t have known about otherwise if you had just paid attention to a few sales here and there. Target is almost always running sales on home décor and furniture, and periodically throughout the year Hobby Lobby will offer discounts on home décor for up to 90% off!

If you find a piece that you’d rather trash than keep, look at it from a different view. Is there something else you could do with it? Could you turn that bookshelf on its side and add a few pillows for a cute reading bench or nook? There are so many different things you could do to furniture you hate just by looking at it differently!

Reclaimed wood can change the look of literally any piece in your house. Keep some on hand for whenever you get the itch to redecorate. It’s cheap (free if you can find it as is!) and it will transform the décor in your house!
