1. Clean up the Leftovers of Summer

One way you can increase your curb appeal in the winter is to clean up the leftovers of summer. Get rid of the dead plants in your flower garden. Put your patio furniture away until next season. These little things can make a big difference. It shows that you take time to prepare for the changing seasons.

2. Get Rid of Outdoor Clutter

Additionally, outdoor clutter will take away from the appearance of your home. Take the time to make sure that everything’s neat and orderly on the outside of your home. This makes a big difference in the curb appeal. People always notice when a home looks tidy and well-kept. It makes a great first impression to anyone that comes to your home.

3. Put up a New Mailbox

It really is the little things that make a difference. Details like putting up a new mailbox if your old one is rusty or misshapen matter. People tend to notice mailboxes. It’s just one of the little things that can catch your eye. It doesn’t have to be a fancy mailbox; any mailbox that looks nice and neat is going to work fine.

4. Keep the Snow Shoveled

This one is important especially if you’re trying to sell your home. Keeping the snow shoveled shows that you keep your home properly cared for. If people have to wade through snow to get to the front door they’re going to be less likely to stop. Having a freshly shoveled sidewalk is inviting to prospective buyers. It makes them want to see the inside of your home.
