1. Eliminate Clutter
I'm a believer that less is more (especially when you live in a smaller space), and spring cleaning is a great way to eliminate excess clutter that may have built up through the winter. One way to refresh your environment and celebrate the new season is to take the opportunity to go through any odd items that have collected and make a trip to Salvation Army!
2. Save Money
Giving your home a good spring cleaning is not only a healthy idea for your environment, but it can actually save you some money! When you're organized, you tend to not lose track of things that are still kicking around. If you have a lot of clutter you may not know what items you have in your inventory, which could lead to unnecessary purchases that can really add up.

3. Motivation
There's something to be said about maintaining order. When your space is more organized and less cluttered, you'll have the feeling of being caught up with life. This new energy may even encourage you to start a project that you've been putting off, or planning for some more ‘you’ time that we all so desperately need! Who needs New Year's to get you excited and motivated? By kicking off the season with some spring cleaning, you may just be doing more than dusting your shelves!
4. Healthy, Happy Home
Within the deep fibers of your carpets, rugs and pillows live many allergens. Dust mites, mold spores, animal dander and mildew (to name a few) can all cause pain to both your home and body. All of these allergens can trigger headaches, sneezing and other cold-like symptoms – causing you to feel ill and ultimately will weaken your immune system and prevent your body from being able to function at an optimal level. To ensure that you’re renewing your home and your body this spring season, make sure that you don’t miss these common hiding places for allergens!
5. Renew Your Wardrobe
One of my favourite activities has always been reorganizing my closet... You don’t need to be a neat freak, but there’s no disputing the fact that bringing out your cute skirts and spring accessories is exciting as the weather warms up! A great rule of thumb is, if you haven’t worn it in a year… it might just be time to get rid of it? By purging all of the items that no longer fit, that you no longer wear or that may be a little rough looking, you will be able to focus on your key spring pieces that make you feel like a million bucks! And you all deserve to feel like ten-karat solid gold!
