When I first went to college, I saw that people used fairy lights to decorate their rooms. I absolutely love this trend! You can have different colour lights for different months (orange for October (Halloween), coloured for December (Christmas), red for February (Valentine’s) etc.), but you can leave white lights up school year round. Fairy lights create a nice atmosphere in your room, and they look pretty around windows and mirrors.

If you want to add a really homey touch to your dorm room, try adding a fish! Fish are so easy to take care of and can look so pretty on an empty shelf in your dorm room. (I could never find an empty shelf!)
